Age Placement Guide

Age Requirements

At GEMS Cambridge International School, we are committed to ensuring that every student is placed in the most appropriate year group to support their academic progress, wellbeing, and overall development.

In line with ADEK regulations and UAE admission guidelines, age placement for the 2026–2027 academic year is determined based on the student’s age as of 31 December 2026, alongside their previous educational experience and individual readiness.

Where required, students will complete an age-appropriate assessment to support placement decisions and ensure suitability for the curriculum pathway. Final year group placement decisions are made in the best interest of the child and are not determined by age alone.
