Ryan Critchlow
Primary Deputy Headteacher
I joined GEMS in 2016 as a class teacher and over the past 5 years, I have progressed through a number of roles to my current position of Deputy Head Teacher. My teaching career began in 2010, where I completed my Post Graduate Certificate In Primary Education at Sheffield Hallam University. I worked across a number of schools in South Yorkshire before leaving for the U.A.E. with my wife and two children in 2015.`
Throughout my time in Education, I have developed a passion for technology within the classroom. Most of my time at CIA has been focussed on how we can integrate technology into the lessons and learning environments. Introducing Augmented Reality to our walls and a number of methods to the classrooms has made our school innovative and creative. We instil agility, adaptability and resilience in all our primary learners as we prepare them for an ever changing global landscape.
Our school is a wonderfully vibrant and diverse setting where we give all people every opportunity to succeed. I look forward to another successful year where we can build on strengthening partnerships and driving our school to being truly world class.
