Ousama Tarik

I am Ousama, Director of Key Stage 4, with more than 20 years of teaching experience in secondary education. I have been part of the GEMS Cambridge International School Abu Dhabi community since 2016, which has given me a strong understanding of the school’s values, culture, and community.I am a Secondary Art and Design teacher and previously served as Head of Year 11. I combine my classroom experience with a student-centred approach to leadership. I am passionate about supporting students both academically and personally, and I believe that high expectations, strong relationships, and a caring learning environment are essential for success.As Director of Key Stage 4, I oversee the academic progress, pastoral care, wellbeing, and overall experience of students in Years 10 and 11. I work closely with students, families, and staff to raise achievement and aspiration, ensuring that every learner feels valued, challenged, and prepared for the next stage of their education and future.
